Journal Activities

Do you feel like life has got hectic?

Do you feel that you may have taken a different path than the one you thought you once would?

Have you forgotten your dreams, who you are and what you want to achieve?

Always remember:

“It’s never to late to be what you might have been”
George Elliot

The Blossom Journal Activities are designed to help you remember who you are and what your dreams are. The process of writing can often give you ideas and inspire you to lead the life you truly want.

Journal Activity 1

Fed up with the daily grind and forgotten your dreams?

“Day dream, fantasies and aspirations all drive us forward and impel us to make things happen”,
James Lane Allen

This journal activity helps to remind you of what inspires you, what you would truly like to be doing with your life, and how you can get there.

You will need 30 minutes for this activity.

  1. Find a quiet spot, where you can sit comfortably with your journal and pen. Ask yourself, what would I do with my life if money wasn’t a problem? Just begin writing. Don’t question what comes into your mind. Just write down everything.
  2. Once you have done this and freely written down your answers, now is the time to read back over them.  Did you always want to travel? Become a journalist? Spend more time in the garden? Consider what is stopping you doing these things. Perhaps your mortgage? You might work 6 days a week and have little spare time? You don’t have the right qualifications to be a journalist?
  3. Remove the can’ts and think of small things you can do to reach your dreams. Don’t be pushed by your problems, but be led by your dreams.
  4. Write down small steps you can take to achieve the dreams so they now become goals. A goal is like a dream with a deadline.  For example, if you dream is to become a journalist,  you might like to find out about evening classes in short story writing, speak to your local paper and ask what qualifications and experience a journalist might need or volunteer to write a short story for your local paper or an online site about a recent experience.

Always remember
“a journey of a thousand miles, starts with one step”
Lao Tzu.

Journal Activity  2

Choose a card from our Blossom Range and do the meditations with the card you have chosen. Journal all that you see and hear. This is the message that you will need in the moment.

“We are gifted in a unique and important way. It is our privilege and our adventure to discover our own special light.”
